For technical and design reasons, the outer lenses on modern vehicle headlamps are made of plastic, usually polycarbonate. The UV radiation from a headlamp bulb causes plastics to gradually turn yellow and become brittle over time. To reduce the UV impact on the outer lens, all Bosch main headlamp bulbs are equipped with UV-Cut, which reduces the harmful UV components of the light, helping to keep your lenses crystal clear.
