• Using the 3/4 in. square hole in the center of the crankshaft pulley, bar the engine over slightly. Then, position the camshaft drive gear holding tool so that its bolt holes match up precisely with the bolt holes on the gear case cover's access panel.
• Attach the camshaft drive gear torque holding tool to the gear case, engaging one of the lightening holes in the camshaft drive gear. Use two bolts from the access cover to fasten the tool securely to the gear case.
