SafePEX tubing is SDR-9 plumbing tubing that meets ASTM F 876, ASTM F 877 and CSA B137.5 specifications. Pressure rating: 160psi 73.4 degree F, 100psi 180 degree F, 80psi at 200 degree tubing is produced by the peroxide (Engel) method. This method performs “hot” cross-linking, above the crystal melting temperature. It provides more consistent and uniform cross-linking than the other two methods.
