Product Description
In June 1981, Rainer Werner Fassbinder observed participants and performances for two weeks during the famous "World Theater" festival in Cologne. 30 groups showcased their visions of a new theater in more than 100 notions. Fassbinder's impressions are complemented by a text read by himself, a milestone in the theory of modern theater: "The Theater and Its Double" by Antonin Artaud. In 14 parts, Fassbinder shows a selection of the most important performances, such as the "Squat Theatre" in New York, the "Magazzini criminali" in Florence, the "Kids Tippers" of California or the "Pina-Bausch dance group" from Wuppertal.
